2020-2021 COVID-19 Notice 

Dear Parent or Guardian, 

The COVID-19 pandemic has been hard on our community. The nurses at Elko County School  District are working hard to keep our students and staff safe. Please help us out by checking your  child (children) daily for the following symptom(s): 

Fever/chills 

Cough  

Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing 

Fatigue 

Congestion/runny nose 

New loss of taste or smell 

Vomiting  

Diarrhea 

Headache  

Sore throat 

If your child has any of these symptoms please keep them home and call your child’s school.  

Your child can return to school when: 

At least 24 hours have passed since recovery, meaning that it has been 24 hours of the  individual having no fever (measured temperature of 100.0 F or greater) without the use  of medications and an improvement in symptoms; AND 

At least 10 days have passed since the individual first displayed symptoms of COVID-19  OR 

It has been at least 24 hours since recovery AND 

A health care provider has certified that the student does not have suspected or confirmed  COVID-19. 

Our top priority is to promote the health and safety of all of our students and staff. Thank you for  helping us protect all members of our community.
